Thumbs up Harescramble Info

I was thinking about getting into a few harescrambles this year, but I've never been in one. I was wondering what is required to get started,I don't have an AMA card or D-14 card or even know where to get one. I seen the scramble getting started in Harrison and it looks awesome, I can't wait to join in so any help is greatly app. P.S I'm currently working out of town and won't be back till next Friday, so if you ask me a question it'll take me until then to respond. Thanks in advance for all info or tips you pass along

I have never done one either, but I am going to the one in harrison this saturday.

For this one you don't need an ama membership.

Buy a number kit for your bike, if they have duplicates they will just put a letter after your number.

If you wanna run the studded class throw in some kold kutters or whatever you think will work, run what you brung.

For most of the other races that require an AMA D14
You can register to be an AMA member online at https://home.ama-cycle.org/amajoin/0...?tmpnum=IJAP05

To register for D14 you can download the application form here
http://www.ama-d14.org/application.php

You can also sign up at any AMA sanctioned facility
I am pretty sure that can be done the day of a race too.

Just show up at any of the races ( check the D-14 site for dates ) and you can sigh up for AMA and D-14 right there.

You will need the last three digits of your AMA number on your bike and the letter of the class your runnin ( again D-14 site can be helpfull here ), I think they want the letter to be 3 in, and the letter on the back of your helmet.

Thumbs up

I agree with you moe , looks awesome but not in the snow. Thanks for all the info, and by the way dbm I have already checked out all the vids on your site, that's what got me excited about running a scramble in the first place. :
