Hole in my pocket

Thats where I'm at. I officially crossed the $1k mark with my '01CR500 rebuild. I recieved bad news today, though. The old girl needs a right side engine case. With the cheese I've been pullin in lately, today was gonna be the last order, I was gonna get the rest of it, but the case kinda put the wrench into it. Oh well, next week.

Other than that, I'll be ready to re assemble in a couple weeks, think it will be here in the basement, an I'll ride the beotch up the steps!

S#^T I still gotta get tires!
Damn

Damn CR, what happened to the side of the case? Yea they can be expensive sometimes but it feels damn good when your bolting all your new stuff on your pride and joy. I've spent around 600 already this winter and still have a little more to go.

I hear ya bro!!! I have put a thrown a few ducketts at mine also. Most was by choice just trying to make a good machine better. New skid plates, chain and sprockets, the new Motoz tires, chain rub and block, new header to replace the one that met the tree, also got a new spare one from a buddy in Cali had to pay shipping only brand new he wanted a power bomb, Now waiting for the new rims to come in that was the biggest $$ But will be able to have a street set of tires and a dirt set to ride the track and trails. I will bring the tires I got and show ya if you are interested when we hook up shortly.
let me know suppose to wear better then most out there Desert boys are talking 1200-1500 miles out of the rear. What was wrong with the case??Hope it wasnt all polishid up already

A bearing on the right side case pretty much could slip in and out. Coulda prolly got by with some 606, but thats not the proper way to fix the problem.
Unfortunately, $281 is, really. On Hondas, the cases are thin, and if it was left to wallow out the hole it fit in, eventually 1 good kick to start it and the case would have broke. Oh well, what price do you put on love
